Construction Has Begun!!!!

Thanks to several churches and individuals, funds have been raised to begin the construction on the first Global Unit – the new housing for teams. As soon as the boys returned to school on January 7th work was done to dig and pour the footers. Teams will be coming this month and next to do concrete work and lay blocks. We are still in need of approximately $10,000.00 to complete this project. Will you be one of the ones to give over and above your regular gift to the school so this team housing can be completed?

New School Term

January 7th began the second term of this school year. We started off the term with 23 boys after sending 9 home during the months of November and December for discipline problems. While it is never easy or pleasant to have to send a boy home, it is often necessary when discipline problems or attitudes become such that the stability of the school and the welfare and progress of the other boys are affected. Pray for those boys that were sent home that they may remember the things of God they learned here and put them to use in their lives.

Teams

We are looking forward to a busy team season in 2008. Almost every week of June and July are filled with teams and we have several construction teams that will be coming over the next couple of months to work on the Global Unit. Pray for the safety of these teams as they travel and work and also as they interact with the boys and share Christ with them. Many of the boys have not accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and we ask for your prayers to this end.

A Word of Thanks

We want to say “THANK YOU” to Clyf Champion from Florida, Andy and Elissa Bennett from Indiana, and Larry and Beverly Gillenwater from Tennessee who came at different times during November and December to help out at the school while directors, Lyle and Rose Rainey, were in the states on a much needed furlough. God has blessed the school with many wonderful partners in the ministry, and we are grateful.

Prayer Needs

* Here in Belize, as in the states, costs continue to rise. If you already give, would you consider increasing your gift? If you have given in the past or have never given, would you pray about giving now?

* Missionaries are needed on the field. Pray that God would raise up those who would be a part of the ministry and vision here at the Vo-Tech.
